2025 Winter Taxes

The winter tax bills will be in the mail December 1, 2025. Due date Monday, March 2, 2026, which I will be in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m..
I will also be in the office on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

2025 Trowbridge Township December Board of Review

The Trowbridge Township December Board of Review will convene on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 2:00 pm.  The meeting will be held at Trowbridge Township Hall located at 913 S M-40 Hwy, Allegan, MI 49010.  The purpose of the meeting is to correct clerical errors and mutual mistakes of fact to the 2024 & 2025 assessment rolls.

 The December Board of Review will also have authority to act upon Qualified Agricultural and Poverty Exemption Affidavits.  If you have an item for the Board of Review agenda, please contact the assessor.

Allegan County Legal Assistance Center

The Allegan County Legal Assistance Center (ACLAC) is open Monday – Thursday. 

M – 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. assisting last patron, of the day at 3:00 p.m.

T-Th 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. assisting the last patron, of the day, at 4:00 p.m.

Friday 8:30 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. – assisting the last patron, at 2:30 p.m.

The office is located at 113 Chestnut Street, Allegan - lower level of the Allegan County Court House. 

Legal assistance is provided on a first come first serve basis which is free to all Allegan County residents and persons who have a case, in Allegan County courts.  This assistance is for individuals representing themselves in civil court issues.  Staff, interns and volunteers do not provide legal advice or represent anyone in court.  They may explain a person’s legal options but will not tell or instruct them what to do.

Court processes and procedures are often difficult to understand.  ACLAC provides information and explanations of these court processes and procedures offering proper tools and assistance with paperwork. ACLAC provides web based information through Michigan Legal Halep at Allegan.michiganlegalhelp.org.

ACLAC is a 501C 3 organization who opened its doors, on July 31, 2012.  Since that time, over 25,000 persons have been assisted.  In order to provide this free assistance, financial support is received from the County of Allegan, the townships of Allegan, Casco, Gun Plain, Laketown, Salem and Trowbridge, Allegan County Community Foundation, Allegan County United Way, the Mignon Sherwood DeLano Foundation and the Allegan County Bar Association.  ACLAC also receives private donations and engages in fundraising activities.
